At the shop we see so many of these in low grade that I have begun to under apprecieate the series. It took these coins to make me apprecieate 2 cent pieces again. Enjoy! 1864 Large Motto NGC MS66RB 1869 NGC MS66RB 1870 NGC MS65RB
Well after words like Wow, Stunning there realy is not a lot left to say except they realy are lovely LOL One question with the 64 are those spots on the slab or the coin?
Whoa , momma!!! I've got a couple -64BN's but nothing as good as yours. Well done!!! And as to the white areas on the rim of the reverse of the 1869, that's where the slab insert has wrapped around the coin a bit.
Geez, You guys don't know average circulated when you see it do you? OK I like them! Wondering about the 1870 though. Looks mighty brown to me - not that it's a problem. Yeah, I have a thing for Two Cent Pieces. A junkie as it were and those are NICE! See my share of worn out examples as well. Usually 64LM. I'm the "official consultant" at work. I have a tendency to snap up certain dates, grades and small mottos. It's in my blood. Thanks for sharing. clembo
I agree with all, WOW, very very nice 2 centers, that's for sure. I really like the look of the 2 cent design, both sides. And yours are stunning examples, thanks for sharing.
Those are great looking coins! I think it's a terrific design that really shines in high grades. I did see what looks like a couple of small spots of 'radioactive' verdigris on the obv. of the first coin; I'm concerned they might grow- would some conservation be in order?
