I think I put about 2-3 hours into it, so I feel the need to show it to yall. Before I scaled it down, it was 7.2 mb(with reflection). A little smaller now of course;). 1835 capped bust half - Copy.jpg

What do yall think(image or coin)

Simple nice coin(upper end VF to me) and a decent picture. Just not sure how much the picture matches the color of the coin. Still I think it is pretty decent - at least as good if not better than mine.

The camera was just my dads point and shoot. I used tinker toys to hold the camera up:yes:

Sorry, but you'll have to start all over again, but this time, please remove the worm from her neck.

    Thanks!

Just kidding, but you'll have to admit that with the wear, it does look like a worm.

Heh, it is her hair, but you have to admit it looks a little like ringworm. Wait, you already said that.

    Hello Numis

I think the image of the coins is very clear and fine with subtly balanced gray shading and symmetrical composition. The touch of sable coloring around the obverse is very pleasant. The only criticism I would make is that you should raise the space on the top to give it more balance and to prevent it from looking as if the lettering is being stuffed into the image. The cluttering affect is worsened by the choice of font and the feathering affect applied to it. I would change the font to something simple and elegant and move it up.

Also, the degree and depth of the reflection does not match the lighting affect on the coins. The coins would need far more brightness and contrast to support a natural feel for the reflection. And the perspective angle is impossible.

That is some pretty precise advice. Some good ideas:thumb:
