Your photos are very nice & show much detail. I just spent several minutes looking at them for VAMs but I'm not much of a VAM expert. Thanks for sharing.
I just recently checked out a vam website that someone mentioned here on cointalk. It simply amazes me the detail and sheer amount of vams that are out there. I would not be able to look through my morgans for vams without taking pictures. Looking through a loupe really does a number on my 38 year old eyes after a few minutes. I have a new respect for those who collect vams!
I started collecting about a year ago. I do not really "collect" Morgan dollars. These were just ones I acquired through auction lots and such. I do not plan on upgrading any, i would prefer to acquire ones I am missing first. My attention is on my nickel book right now, getting that up to a complete uncirculated with every proof from 1938+. The nickel book is here, I have a couple dozen to upgrade still. The most expensive ones obviously. Wanted to add: I have never bought a 'slabbed' coin, so upgrading the morgans would be risky as they would all be raw.
I gotchya'! Raw sets can look real nice, good luck with collecting, and I can't wait to see the Morgan set when it is all done
Sweet Morgans G! And beautiful photos as well. I wish most on-line sellers posted photos with that kind of resolution and detail.
