I stop by the bank after a real busy morning to see if they got my order in of a block of new $2 bills, 10 brand spanking new packs. Sure enough, they had them in the back. Seems we are getting the ordering down now where I can get the new bills anytime I order. So I casually glance at the numbers and then notice the very top note is a star note. Wow, I thought maybe each pack has a star note or two in them!! I have had a lot of luck this year getting packs with the very rare first LEPE printing of 128,000 star notes in my $2 packs. So I get home and take some pics of the wrapped package. Then comes the fun part....cutting it open to see what I got. Whoa, jumping fat pigs!!! Break down the front door!! Slam the back door!!! The first pack turns out to be a complete pack of 100 star notes!! Thanks to the terrible packing you can see in the pick that the first pack was not sealed nice and flat, which is usually the case when you order a whole block. So I start looking at the packs and...wait a minute!!! Holy Guacamole!!! Down in the 700 series....what??? Another whole pack of $2 star notes!! I feel like I hit the lottery. Nice flat very nicely centered star notes!! Me thinks I will have to order another pack for next week and see if I can hit the lottery again!!! Interesting that the 801 pack was on the top. I accidentally tore the band when I took off the white band under the plastic so replaced it with another band I had from a pack I had opened in the past.
Not sure yet. Might wait and see if I can get more next week. These appear to be the second run on the LEPE press. The first star notes I was getting earlier were inserted in packs and I believe you said they were the first run from the LEPE press. I can only order one more time before we leave for Asia for 3 weeks...darn..and then I have to wait until we get home to start ordering again.
$2 bills are cool in general. you don't see them regularly in circulation. since you shared those two dollar bills..let me also share my 2s:
