Here's the coin I got yesterday.

This is the coin I hope gets a variety attribution of "AW".
As you can see I haven't solved my imaging problem.
To the eye there is no missing that this is a proof coin.
    The surfaces are mirrors.
But my images for highly reflective coins keep showing milky surfaces.
I keep blaming it on my lighting setup, but ???

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

I like it alot. Proof Walkers are cool.

As for your lighting - how many lights and of what kinds are you using? Proofs can be quite tricky to photograph, especially if you are going for the black and white look. Here is a Franklin proof I bought at FUN, and I was able to get it - but you really just have to play around with the lights. Proof Walkers often don't have the deep liquid mirrors of some other series, and they very rarely have cameo, so even if you do get the lights just right, you might be disappointed.

    Here's my basic setup:

The two lamps are OTT-LITE's both with "white light" bulbs.
I've played around somewhat with the positioning of the lamps, but no success.
Do you see any obvious problems with this setup?
It works great with circulated coins in all metals.
But the proofs and higher MS coins give me grief.

When I took this picture the ceiling lights were also on, but when I image coins they are off.
When they are off that removes the shadowing you see in the area where the coin would be.
