I have a 1914 buffalo nickel with some unusual die chips on the obverse. It looks like shaving stubble on his chin. Has anyone seen this before and does it add any value to my coin? s-l1600 (3).png

    Welcome to CT!
Those aren't die chips they are the result of a die clash.
Can you post full size photos of the coin. Both Obverse and Reverse.
there should be evidence on the reverse around E Pluribus Unum.
    Cool find.
I found a some clashes on a 43S Lincoln the other day.

This is just a guess, but it might be due to damage to the die before the coin was struck.

Thanks everyone, especially Pickin and Grinin, for all the great info. It seems a common die clash for the 1914 P. I was lucky to find a high grade example for my collection. Here are 1.png 2.png full size images of obverse and reverse as requested.

The clash also looks visible between the back legs, and possibly part of the hair at the S.
    Nice example!

Nice clashed example! You can clearly make out the RI of PLURIBUS and the UNU of UNUM.
