My Hong Kong Dollar

    I collect US Cents primarly and have very few foreign pieces. But this is one of my favorite coins. Not because it has any great value, just that I remember visiting Hong Kong in 1970 getting this dollar coin.

    I do like the design of the coin, it reminds me of someone going for a field goal LOL

    LOL That it does! I picked this up in June of 1970 visiting for a week during my year of service in VietNam.

    Well if you were a rugby fan I could claim he played for the British Lions LOL actualy that would make a good shirt logo :D

    i got two 20 hong kong dollar bill. it was beautiful. the rate is fixed at $7.80 to a u.s. dollar. that's mean together with u.s. dollar. it was devalued against most other strong currencies.

    Interesting coin. The Chinese character used for "dollar" on this coin is the earlier form of the character that is used for "yen" on Japanese coins.
