Been looking the past few months for a nice Ben Franklin printed Pennsylvania or Delaware note. This £2/10/- or 50/- was printed in 1760, notice the two colour print, very unusual for that time, necessitating two separate printing passes which accounts for the red type being 'off' by just a bit. Franklin developed the leaf process on the reverse, noticing that leaves never had the same pattern and could not be easily duplicated.

SM...educate us on why this is a Ben Franklin note!
Little if any knowledge on Colonials...

Is it because of the printing style and vignetts?

    Nice Note!!

Ben Franklin printed it, he printed all Pennsylvania and Delaware currency from the 1729 through 1764 issues - his name is on the reverse with that of
David Hall as the printers of this note. Franklin and Hall were in a partnership in the printing business, until Ben Franklin sold out his interest in the business in approximately 1765 to William Sellers.
