I don't know what i'm doing right but found the fourth one at about 5:00 EST. It's not as but you can still see lincoln. lol
Good find Zeke! now you should find a 98 wide AM, in roll searching I have found that there is one 98 to four 2000 wide AMs. I have found all most all of them in String and Son rolls from the bank. Jeankay, do you search a lot of bank rolls? Bill
Great find Zeke! I will bet that elusive 1999 Wide AM is just around the corner for you. Also, don't forget to look for the rare Small Date/Zinc 1982P-1DR-001 (Doubled Die Reverse) which fetches big bucks. See the link below. http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1982&die_id=1982p1dr001&die_state=mds Frank
JEANKAY, stay with it. It's a great feeling when you do find out. I had quite a conversation with myself after finding this 4th one. Was thankful, happy and felt guilty about finding so many especially when you and others haven't found one, ------------- yet. BILL, those 1998s are sure elusive. everytime I look at a 98 I say" you da one?" lol or " gotcha". One 1998 wide AM for every four 2000 wide AMs. I like the odds now, thanks. FRANK, what a great link. I saved it so I can better learn how to recognize these errors. Great shots. Thanks alot. Oh, I have found a 1999 wide AM. And it is in maybe AU condition. Here's something funny. I just mixed up about sixty 1982s with my return to the bank pile. Guess what I'll be doing for the next several days? Yeah, the WHOLE pile. There are some in really nice condition too. Am also on the prowl for 1992 and 1992D close AM. Red Book doesn't give a value for the 1992. Whats that mean, as if I'd find a GEM of a one anyhow. THANKS EVERYONE-------zeke:thumb:
Zeke, The 1999 Wide AM is a great find! Hold onto it as they are significantly undervalued at this time but should go up nicely in a few years. It usually takes a few years for Varieties to make it into the Red Book and when they do, not much is available on sales, so the price is left in question until enough sales of the Variety shows a trend. Frank
Thanks HUNTSMAN for the heads up on the 1992 close AM no value thing. Good advice, I plan to keep it around, gets to be a part of you. It was my first big find. Lots more to go. PHEONIX21, start up again. It's sure satisfying when a good find falls into your hands. There's lots and lots out there and I'm the proof of it(the pudding) lol zeke
Wow a forth find you must have akucky charm in your pocket, i can't seem to find one. The 99 has a pretty good premium. I think I stay to much on coin talk ,instead of searching for errrors lately. Jazzcoins Joe:whistle:
I guess that was a form of exspression, but a lucky charm could be whatever you want it to be to keep in your pocket. a rabbits foot is more of a good explanation. We know we can;t put a pair of shoes in our pocket for good luck,:goofer: can we? Well you also can use a lucky charm from :eating: the cereal lucky charms.:goofer: Jazzcoins Joe:whistle:
Zeke, What? Another one? I think I am going to move into your neighborhood, because there just aren't enough "P" cents out west! A "lucky charm" is also known as a "Rabbits foot"... That is because the rabbit that got away, escaped with out his left hind foot!:secret: Dick
Yeah, but you have that crazy Denver Mint out there which lately has been making some doozies. It's the same up here with ' D ' mint coins, kinda scarce. Can you sent me a MS65 1992-d closed AM LINCOLN CENT. HA, HA, HA. Also I'm having a heck of a time finding a nice 1987-d cent too. What's with that? Your wide AM's will come along with nice DD's and such. zg :thumb:
