changed about 30$ worth of nickels today at my dump bank and within the paper money found a nice crisp 2013 5$ bill star note. Just checked it online and it’s def closer towards the rarer section! The $1 bill star note seems to be more common , anywhere here it is...
Nice I've only managed to find one star note that was on the rare-side. Almost all of the ones I come across are common and get tossed back into circulation.
I was at work a few months ago and I went to chat with an old guy that sits in the cube next to me. I noticed that he had a small stack of $2 bills on his desk, he said he was going to some event where his granddaughter would be with some other small children. He said he liked to hand out $2 bills to the kids, as most of them had not ever seen them before. As I was looking at them, I noticed that the one on top was a star note. I grabbed the stack, they were all in brand new condition. I checked the next one, consecutive star note, next one, a third consecutive star note. I'm pursuing a $1 US type note collection, but I don't really know much about star notes. I told him that he had something special though, and that he should probably put those 3 off to the side
Today my bank teller showed me (4) 1963 $50 notes that were consecutive star notes. He said he was holding them until he could replace them with another 200$ worth of bills. Lol . I gave him the website to search for it’s rarity.
I have looked for star note for a long time, but today in change, I got three at three stores. All $1.00 2013 series 1. G03159723*; 2. K25277464*, 3. K1227373779* Very Strange for this to happen in one day, and not at a bank.
