Well I bought this coin today it is a 1962 toned 10c. It's my first slabbed coin and the color is absolutly amazing in hand It's toned light blue on the reverse and light purple on the obverse. I tried to do my best but taking pictures of toned coins is really tough.

Oh come on! After the other thread, you gotta tell us how much you paid for it! I really like the toning by the way, exactly as you described it! Congrats! Are you going to assemble a proof Roosevelt collection or was this and impulse buy because you were struck by the toning?

It's that much harder to capture the toning on a proof coin. I'm not a big fan of proofs but they can acquire some nice color on them. Roosevelt Dimes (toned) are one of my favorite coins. Congrats on your purchase.

    Congrats! Nice looking coin!

Toned coins are by far the most difficult type of coin to photograph. Even more so in a slab. My slab pictures are horrible.

Pretty coin. It's common to find middle-to-late 50's proof dimes toned, not so much for a 62. Nice find....MIke
