I've long read about amazing finds from banks and from circulation here on this site, but had yet to experience the thrill of actually finding anything of significance. Well, today I was at the bank pulling out some money for the coin show tomorrow and just for kicks I asked for $40 in 2's (fun to spend!). The teller asked around and come to find out the girl next to her was the only one with 2's and she asked if I wanted them "I have a red one and green one". Of course I said yes, I'll take them, but it wasn't until they were in hand that I realized that one was a 1976 Star note, while the other was a 1963 star note, both in upper XF condition due to some bends (no folds, crispy paper etc). Sorry about the cell phone pic! Now I can see why you guys get hooked hard on searching!
There's just something about a 'red seal' that makes ya just wanna perk up. I'm not a 'paper' guy but when I come across a red seal I always add it to the metal........ Nice pickups dear fellow.
Thanks everyone! And to Green18: I agree, the red just pops! The blue is nice, the browns are meh, but the reds stand out nicely.
