so that antique show that comes around twice a year came back this weekend and my good ol friend with the coin booth was back. picked up this peace dollar for 22 bucks. Also got a few wheats from teh 40's and 50's, a few canadians for a member on here, a "shinplaster" (Canadian 1923 .25 Note) and a Barbuda Gold certificate. what do you guys think about this peace Dollar. He had another one for 20 bucks, but it looked cleaned so I left it
thanks Indian Head! I figure its a good place to start, cause of the high mintage and the price was right IMO
You're right snaz, there's no better place to start and at a good price too. The Peace Dollar set is a very easy set to assemble aside from two or three higher priced coins (1921, 1928 and 1934-S). Sometimes its difficult to find nice examples of certain dates. I'm still looking for a decent 1924-S that I like enough to add to my XF-AU set. Good Luck building your set!!
