some might call the $10 an error because the serial gets close to the design. If it goes into the design, then yes, its an error. But looking at the scans, if this note does have the serial going into the design, its so minor, it wouldn't fetch much of a premium. for grades.,.. ill tell ya what go to this PCGS page about grading. Take a stab by looking at the grades, and guess for each note. Post back here what ya think they are. And then we will compare notes to help a bit.. you know the notes are not the top grades, so start near the bottom, and work your way up the ladder until you read a grade and think to yourself, that your not has an element the assigned grade cant have. and dont be afraid to ask questions
i might agree on the $10 note. The stain to the upper left makes me question anything higher. The $5 sounds like a good grade at G-6 as well. The note is a better grade, but the stains kill it. Nice job.
http://currency.ha.com/common/questions.php scroll halfway down. IDK if they are possible for this series or not, just an idea.
commidaddy, take a close look at the reverse of the 5 dollar note. There should be a small plate number on the lower right hand side just like your 10 dollar note. The series 1963 5 dollar notes would have a number range from 1 through 9 on the reverse lower right hand side. The number seems to be missing on your note. That would make your note an error note.
