    ...but I really wanted one.

    Sorry for the poor lighting.

Condition, point out problems (ie. cleaned? I really hope not.) Value?

Edit: the colour is from the light, not coins true colour.

Thanks... I'm guessing it probably worth $25 on the open market? I payed more though...

1921-P Morgans trade as bullion coins unless they're in MS condition. I always check APMEX pricing to see how it compares to what I'm buying/selling. APMEX is buying 1921's in AU condtion for $22.58 and selling them for $28.08. Your coin looks to be at least AU55 to me.

Capital pics (except for the colour balance...you'll work that out :)) I'm thinkin' that reverse is a whole lot better than an AU designation. I'm thinkin' '62........

Watch out for the cheek. That hit on the cheek means you definitely overpaid, but it's a solid coin otherwise.

Your second set of pics look high AU or low MS. Figured at MS price. you might have overpaid by $5; $10 at most if it's AU. If you like the coin and wanted it, I wouldn't sweat 5 or 10 bucks.

One thing, the holder it is in looks like one of those soft plastic flips with PVC. I would get it in a different holder as soon as possible. Nice coin, congrats.

Yes, I would get it into a more proper holder. Nice looking coin. Agree on the MS66 grade. Does not look to have been cleaned.

Love my Morgans as well. I sometimes pay a little premium just because I need the coin to fill a hole and have been looking for it for a while.

Darn silver prices is making my Morgan chasing $$$$

$22.58 buy and $28.08 sell? That's quite a spread for a bullion piece.

Well, currently the melt value of a silver dollar is $21.28. These big guys like to make some dough...

So, this is the question I'm posing now: How important is Luster in Morgans? I got this one based on wear. There are very few, if any wear spots. However there are a few good dings that would mess it up. Plus the lack of a good luster, the front and back are flatter or hazed than what I have seen in high MS before.

    So, how important is luster?

Also, I received estimates from AU55-MS65 can anyone narrow it down? I am rather new at this and I would like to know the reasoning behind anyone's grading.
