My first Mercury Dime, and first coin with silver in it.

My dad got home from work and told me he had something for me. I went downstairs and he said he found a coin for my collection in his change. I took one look at it and went "Heck ya!"

Awesome my friend! I am very happy for you! I also only have 1 to my name, and strangely enough also got it from my dad, sort of (Father-in-law for me). Mine is a 1943, can't tell what date yours is, but a forty-something for sure!

Thanks everyone. Ive been wanting one for a while now and today was my lucky day. I've looked closely at the date and cant decide if its a '42 or a '43. Either way its special to me as my first mercury dime and from my dad. I'll never get rid of it as long as I collect. I especially like "toning"/wear on it.
