My first major paper purchase.

    1917 Fr. 60 $2 Small red scalloped seal. Speelman White signatures. AU58. I believe it is the most common LG size $2. But I'm haphaphappy. The reverse has more color than the pic shows. Here she is:

    Excellent first large size note. Those are one of my favorites (right up there with the Battleship note). Congrats!!!

    Congrats on your prize purchase. It is an extremely attractive bill. Isn't it great to feel like a kid in a candy store on an "all you can eat" day! You gotta love it!

    You are correct BQ....one of the reasons I always advocate buying the highest quality notes you can, the value will hold during down turns , just like most other collectables. Prices have softened a little as there is nothing really recession proof.

    Thanks for the props. I have heard the paper market is softening as well. It also seems like some of the better stuff is not on the market due to this.
