Yesterday I attended my monthly local coin show and bought my first Dansco album. I have been looking at Danscos online for a while now, but I'm glad I decided to wait until the show. I bought myself a used Roosevelt Dimes with proof (8125) for less than half of what I would have had to pay online. I began to fill it right away, and I'm very satisfied with its quality. There are a few "fuzzy bits" in the holes, but I was expecting that. Nothing that can't be cleaned out. And, I brought along my younger brother, who asked me to buy him a Lincoln cent folder. As soon as we got home he asked to look through the change jar for cents to fill it - Success! I've passed along the "collecting bug!" It's great to share your hobby with someone else! Do any of you have a great story about spreading your "bug" along?
Congrats on passing along the bug. I like dansco albums and have a few for the older stuff - well plus some licoln cents. Whitman and harris folders are okay, but nothing like the dansco(or some other albums) for displaying the coins.
my first dansco was the Jefferson nickel 7113 album and the coins in that one are toning very nicely!
