My first contest!

As Chris requested, the prize for this contest is being kept secret, even for me, because I will receive the same prize as the winner.

Contest Rules

1) Each contestant will be allowed just one entry.
2) Your entry MUST be sent via PM to me. (Miz)
3) Everyone is eligible to play regardless of the number of posts you may have or where you live.
4) The contest will run until midnight (EST) Sunday, October 16, 2011.
5) The winner will be announced no later than 8:00pm (EST), Monday, October 17, 2011.
6) In the event of a tie, all of the entries with the correct answer will be thrown into a hat, and the winner will be drawn at random.
7) The winner will need to send their address via PM to Chris, aka cpm9ball.

I'm erecting a cellphone tower that is 450' tall, and I will need steel cable to stabilize the tower. The cable is anchored to the tower at a height of 400'. Four massive concrete blocks have been poured into the ground, each being positioned north, east, south and west from the tower so that the eyebolt anchor that is embedded in each block is exactly 300' from the tower. I also know that I will need to add 6' to the length of each cable to anchor each one properly to the tower and the eyebolt. How much steel cable will I need?

Now it is my turn for questions.

You say "I also know that I will need to add 6' to the length of each cable to anchor each one properly to the tower and the eyebolt". Does that mean 3' at each end of each cable or 6' at each end?

I will obviously ignore the taper of the tower and the stretch of the cable.
