Hi all, Well I have just returned from my first coin show and first I must say,man so many coins so little money. My first stop was the ANACS booth to have my '21 Morgan graded.Came out being AU55/56,not bad for a free coin. The 2 guys(sorry dont remember their names)were great to talk to.They each took time to give me some pointers on grading and such.Best point I heard out of all of it was "keep your wallet in your pocket". I decided to walk the whole floor and then go back to the items that caught my eye.Well afer the walk I found only one booth had my first item on the list(ASE).So after picking out my graded ASE '91 and haggling for a bit,I paid and moved to item number 2.A Peace dollar.I got the 06 red book and my oldest daughter was looking at the section on Morgans and when she turned the page and saw the peace, she said she wanted 1.Well seems not all is lost for me. Then when she learned I was going to the show she begged to go,but I wasnt driving and the truck was full,so I said I would get her a peace to start her collection.I must say I saw as many peace dollars as Morgans. All mints, all years and all grades.I rather quickly found out a MS-65 any year peace is WELL out of my range right now. Didn't even ask about the CC's.So I went to the tables with ungraded coins.I ended up getting her a 1923 from the guy next to my ASE guy so he cut me a better deal on it after some talking from the other guy.Had talked to some people looking at mint sets and they bought after I left,so he was very happy. Then I took the '23 to the ANACS booth and got a XF on it.I was happy. Thats about it aside from getting some airtites. I did see a lot more gold than I thought I would.Oh and the very nice 1913 Liberty Head nickel.Dont see where its worth 4.15 million but still a very nice coin. Well I have already started to save some $$ for the nest show in April. MARS WINS #578
