So as promised, heres a few coins that i worked on last week. I did about a half dozen, but these pictures are really the only ones that came out half way decent. After reading this thread on photo tips http://www.cointalk.com/t123972/ Im going to try again this weekend and see if i can get some good shots, plus i need to find some more example coins to use(not too corroded). Anyway, these two coins were both soaked in distilled water, then given an acetone bath, and finished with a Verdi-Care wash, using a micro-fiber towel and gentle patting. The after pictures are pre-air dry.
COOL! Thanks for sharing your results. I love seeing customer pics! When you run into the really thick stuff, try putting a few drops of VC on the surface, let it sit for 5 minutes or so, and then tap/rub with a toothpick. Sometimes you can get it off.
