For awhile now I've wanted to start to get photos of more of my coins, but it's such an overwhelming idea that I didn't know where to start. Today I was looking through one of my albums and Bolivia just seemed like as good of a place to start as any. There's nothing special about Bolivia to me and I don't claim to have a comprehensive collection, but it was small enough that imaging it wouldn't be too demanding but I still feel like I have some interesting coins. So without further ado, here is my Bolivian collection, in order by date. Go ahead and add your own Bolivian coins if you are inspired to do so.
Nice and varied collection! Here are a few of mine: Bolivia 4 Soles 1830 Bolivia 1858 4 Soles Bolivia 1875 20 Centavos Bolivia 1951 H 1 Boliviano (blurry!) Bolivia 5 Bolivianos 1951
@Hiddendragon , @The Eidolon Both of you have some really nice coins. Take some time and share some more.
Says these are stainless steel. Is this a normal look to the coin? Cause it has a Pl look for a standard business strike.
I guess what I am saying is that the die's look fresh. Also I couldn't find anything that references a proof strike. They only made BS.
Nice ones. I find myself drawn to 18th and 19th century Latin America, but not strong enough of a pull for me to strongly study and concentrate on them. I pick up random pieces at times when I come across them, but nothing comprehensive at all.
Latin America seems like a strong market right now. Whenever I have doubles to sell they do surprisingly well.
Darn right! The Lissner collection sold by CNG/ St. James in 2014 had hammer prices that were outa this World. Most coins sold 5X estimates.
Nice coins, thanks for sharing. I cannot compete/ but have only two exs to post. 1/ 1/2 Escudo 1855 Potosi Mint 2/ 8 Escudos purchased as "unsold" lot from Heritage
