I say no also.. That's not a Doubled Die You can send any coin to get graded. That's what the TPG's do. For a Mint Error or Variety you also need to get it attributed and that costs a bit more. But IMHO I wouldn't waste my time on that Cent.
The cost of grading would out weigh the value which is.1 cent I would save my money for a different coin.JMO Dave
I going to try and post a couple pics. On what i saw in the coin . If anyone could explian were i went wrong . I will post them asap . Just wanting to learn .
All I saw was some mechanical doubling on the date and the mintmark, no real hub doubling visible to me. It is best when you post a photo to put an arrow or line pointing to specific area you suspect. Many will skip over the thread if the poster is hoping they will check over the whole coin as they don't know what to look for. You can get a free program to resize photos, add lines, arrows, text, etc. . here http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/download.php?lc=en Jim
Not even close to the major 69-S DDO... Please don't send it to grading. Compare the date and 'LIBERTY' of a genuine DDO to your coin. Completely different.
Thsnks ton Jim . I will definitely start marking them . I am going to post some better pics . Just so i can get some input on what i doing wrong . I appreciate the advise .
Please don't waste your money and send the coin to be graded. The doubling you see on the date is Machine Doubling, not a doubled die. Machine Doubling is flat and shelflike and reduces the size of the devices, while a Doubled Die increases the size of the devices. Note the photos posted above. This coin is worth face value, unfortunately. Not the 1969-S DDO.
Thank you appreciate you re advise . I thiught it was machine too at first . I goib GB to post some new pics . Hoping for input on what i was seeing as a ddo . So i know in the future.
