I'm shifting gears, and much as I loved collecting the Albanians (primarily from the Zog era) the coins from my NGC registry and a few others are hitting the sales block. It was a mature set--only one coin really missing (Krause lists a few that don't actually exist), and it would have been only spending bigger bucks to chase incremental grades.

No provas, but all but one of the big gold dates (and one minor, so technically missing two). The set has multiple top pops and got a major NGC registry award, even though some of the nicer coins are in PCGS slabs. Includes a couple minor proofs (called proof of records by Karl Stephens when he sold them to me). Even the 20 FrA 'with fasces'. So I'll no longer have a 'pop 10' coin (ie only 10 coins still in existence out of a mintage of 100).

It was a great learning experience as it turns out I am more of a 'catch and release' sort once I feel done. I did not know that about myself :D.

Stacks has them listed under my NGC handle (StarCityHomer).

And now I'll have more funds to devote to getting a few more esoteric Japanese coins (a set that will never be 'done' on my budget).

I also added a few coins I never took anywhere--Great Britain 2 pound gold. One is a great matte proof, a sweet Victoria, and a George that was good enough to rate a video! It really is super nice and I'm glad they did the video.

There is a very decent Japan 50 sen brass of a very rare date. I only let it go as a friend sold me their Dr. Jacob's provenance version. It sells with the original JNDA certificate from when I bought it raw from a Japanese auction.

Plus an Italy/Genoa 4L from my 'gryphon' phase.

And if anyone wants to see the Albanians in the NGC registry. The PCGS 5 FrA silver in MS-67 isn't shown of course, nor are the proofs also in PCGS slabs (I had lesser examples in NGC slabs for the set). https://ngccoin.com/registry/competitive-sets/164777/

The PCGS slabbed 1 FrA is excellent, if only an incrementally less than a top pop, because it is missing the otherwise near ubiquitous 'die chip' on the beam of the ship. Which is interesting to say the least.
