My 1st 2010 LSP error! What you think?

    This Lincoln Shield Penny has a second set of initials on Lincoln's shoulder! What say you?

    It's to small to tell..looks like nicks/scratches from what you posted.

    If those are initials as you say, congratz on the find..

    Nah, why would the top half of the V be in the middle of VDB? Post Mint Damage. Keep clicking on the pic. I got the entire bottom half of the cent to fill my screen...

    That's post mint damage, ie, what's known as a bagmark. Doesn't qualify as an error.

    I think what the OP is saying is that the VDB is re-punched or something like that. I can't really tell since it is so small. Because mine looks the same way. Let me try a snap shot from my digital scope.

    I think because it is incused the entry may not be perfectly clean and it makes it look doubled. I could be wrong and I am not an expert. With my 5x glass I could barely see it - with 10x it does start looking doubled. Look below the VDB - kind of in the shadows.
