Came across this coin last night hunting through change jar collection. Weighed 3.08 g The reverse has a unique error. I am a amateur so don't smack me down for ignorance, Thanks
Nice find, Die chips are commonplace for the 50's LWC's. Unique is a strong word for a die chipped coin. I would not use it to describe such a coin.
Using only your photos, I'm seeing what appears to be a die chip AND damage. Looks like the T took a hit where the chip goes under it. Interesting look.
I think it was damage from a coin counting machine that used a metal finger that sometimes bent to rise above the coin surface and move metal. Similar to Mountain Man's idea. Jim
