My 1953A $2 came in the mail

    It's my first red seal, and, thus, my oldest bill. In the first pic, you can see the "cut line" visible on the bottom portion of the bill. Would this happen to add any value? On closer inspection of the serial number, you can see the common uneven numbers (though the scan wasn't completley straight).

    That "cut line" or register mark, is common on bills in the series. I don`t have the specifics, but 1950`s and before series of US Notes, Silver Certificates, Federal Reserve Notes are common with the lines shown in your pic
