My 12 Year Old "Baby Girl".. I had 2 Modern Counterfeit Coins on my desk..
I picked them up and handed them to her.. By the Time she looked at them.. no more then a second or two.. She said.. "Fake".. What?
I asked her how did she know.. And without looking at them..
She said the way they sounded when I put them in her hand..
They had a different "Ting" to them then the other I show her..

Rules!!! I love that little snot! Oh dear god.. In a few years I am dead..... I hope.

Oh.. And since cracked open a couple proof sets to fill a few holes.. Well I have that "extra" Medal they add.. The Golden one.. Well she asked what that one was made of and I didnt have an answer... Anyone Know... ?

This is a Picture of Syd.

First of all, you have a beautiful little girl. I understand how you feel. I have a daughter who is five with blonde hair and blue eyes. I say she is not dating until she is married and if she can figure out how to do that, more power to her. LOL
It is amazing how kids pick up on things that us as adults study and study to find out.

Congrats and good for her. Sounds like a promising start. You say cracked a couple of proof sets - do you mean mint sets? I don't remember any left over token in proof sets, but I remember something in the mint sets.

I'm 51, and my daughter is nine. I honestly think that they are aliens studying us, because they know a heck of a lot more than we do. And they're always watching you.

Now that is great. "Rules" is right. :)

Not quite sure what piece you mean ... A golden medal in a proof set? Don't suppose you mean the $1 coin. ;)
