Hello All, I did an inventory this morning and found that I am currently at 95 ozs of silver. My goal when I started buying in Dec 11' was to get to 100ozs. Looks like I'll finish that up this week. I have been a bullion stacker and a have a few little sets and a couple interesting coins. Have been trying to buy close to spot. Mostly Junk Silver, about 25 ASEs, very little Canadian and a few older Barbers. Let me know what you think I should do for the 100th ounce. Here is what I have been thinking: Option#1-Blow right past the 100th oz like it doesn't even matter Option#2-Keep on track with what I been buying Option#3-Pick up my first slabbed/collectible/proof/commemerative coin-Basically something that I wouldn't normally buy. I'm going to stop by a couple coin shops in Peoria, IL tomorrow that I normally don't get to.
Congrats with the achievement. I agree with option A and just buy yourself a 100 oz. Bar and blow right by that.
Buy a NGC "gem uncirculated" ASE and mark the milestone with it. These can be had for spot price plus a dollar or two for the most part. Then blow past it and aim for your next milestone. Congrats on your 100th ounce, no small feat these days.
If I had a budget for 100 oz bars, this thread would be about my 1st 1000 ozs. A 10 oz bar would be in the budget and something I don't have.
i had a 60 ouncer last weekend.. OH wait.. you are talking coins.. I would go with option AA.. errr I mean A
Just to wrap this up, I went with a bit of options 1 & 3. Here is what I got in the past couple days: 1986 ASE 2012 Kookaburra, Koala and Moose 1988 Cubs 1st Night Game 1 oz Korean War Com Proof, 2 Coin 1991 Yellowstone Com Pearl Harbor Com 1 oz 2 1921 Morgans 86, 87 and 97 Prestige Sets Now that I have the 100th oz in the pile, I was thinking it might be time to start collecting a series. I was thinking either Franklins or Peace Dollars. Either is a short set, silver and won't break the bank to collect in MS60/MS63.
