Congrats to whoever got this one. I did a check on how much it is worth and it turns out to be worth between 500 and 600 dollars. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8360508758&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1 I was outbid 3 times on this one.
1) If you really thought it was an MS66, why didn't you bid more? 2) There is no bidder listed that was outbid 3 times. No bidder even bid 3 times. 3) If it is an MS66, why isn't it slabbed? The value gained vs. cost would be massive. 4) There is no Santa Claus
pretty sure, I emailed the guy and asked him if the coin was really rated that much and he said that so far, his ratings have been accurate. I didn't have enough money to continue bidding, otherwise I would have. I don't know why it wasn't slabbed.
Aside from the fact that he neglected to mention the denomination of the starting bid, I HATE when people say it's .99 cents, that's less than a penny.
according to my latest grey sheet here are the prices: MS60 $31 MS63 $63 MS64 $88 MS65 $275 so, I would say that this coin is not a 66. or maybe... it depends.\ I would NEVER buy a coin like this raw from ebay and pay MS-66 prices, that would be very not smart. From the poor pictures it looks like its uncirculated, if it is its probably a 60-63. so if it IS uncirculated the buyer got a pretty good deal. I personally would not buy a coin like this unless i could see it in person.
Ms66 Chances are this coin was either cleaned or dipped. Slabbed this coin could trend about $500.00, if it is a true MS66. BWJR
