HERE,S JUST AN AMAZING NOTE SERIES 661 $20 IN PCGS 68PPQ SUPERB GEM NEW!! NOTHING COMES CLOSE IN ANY REGISTRY! A TRUE ONE OF A KIND, THIS COMPLETE,S MY SERIES 661 REGISTRY SET AT PCGS WHICH IS NOW NUMBER 1! THOUGH ITS ONE OF THOSE NOTES THAT BREAKS THE BANK SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO SAY WHAT THE _______ YOU CAN FILL IN THE BLANK....LOL WHEN A OPPORTUNITY LIKE THIS COMES KNOCKING AT THE FRONT DOOR YOU BETTER OPEN IT BECAUSE IT WILL NEVER COME AGAIN!! ENJOY
Very cool, congrats!! I have no experience with the MPC so I hope this is not a stupid questions, but there looks like a little red dot on the left hand margin of the note, is that a picture artifact or is it something on the note?
That is one I had not seen before, with a grade of 68 it must have been painful (but worth it). The only two MPCs I have are both 661, $5 and 10cent. I think that is my favorite series, yours is one of the best.
You got that right Duke! Notes like this dont just show up!! I,ve been in negotiations To obtain this note for sometime now, and finally was able to make it happen last Week As far as what i paid let,s just say i could have bought a new car with what i spent Not a Porsche or anything like that but it was still a hunk of change !!
new car? like a Tata? lol but now i'm kinda interested in knowing what ya paid for that. my dad gave me a few of these from when he was in the air force. nothing like that tho.
That's one mighty gorgeous $20 lady you acquired. Seeing that she has not been used, abused, neglected or otherwise disparaged, and comes with an established pedigree, she is worth more than plenty. As the saying goes, "A good woman is hard to find" and you did a whole lot better than just good. Of course, as we all know, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Also, that it is highly subjective. Every time I saw one, I thought those retro-boxy Sycions were as ugly as they come. Now that I've seen how wretched looking the Tata is, I'm reevaluating appearances. This weekend, the 47th Hawaiian Coin Show is being held for 3-days in the Hawaiian Convention Center, in Honolulu. Over a hundred dealers were offering their wares. While talking to one of the officials, it was learned that space limitations had resulted in over 40 dealers being refused attendance. This is being mentioned only to highlight that our hobby continues to show its penchant for growth. Every one of the many dealers displaying paper was asked if they had any MPC with him/her. Only one thought he had one stuck away in his paper junk box. After searching, he pulled out a crisp, non-circulated, no folds and sharp cornered Series 541, 25-cent note that was sheltered in a clear note protector. I would love to believe my find to be a Gem New 65 or higher. Unfortunately, the white borders are showing the signs of slight discoloration. Therefore, I'm probably the proud owner of a Choice About New 55 to 58 grade note. With luck, it may grade a Choice New 64. It was my intention to start a new thread to announce my precious find, however, the perfect $20 lady, the subject of this thread, certainly causes my paltry 25-cent note to take a back-of-the-bus seat. Oh well, life continues. I'm well pleased with my new find and, more importantly, I'm thrilled to see a perfect $20 lady. Had no idea that perfect ones existed [I'm not quite certain if this is a pun or not]. Thanks for sharing. Good on you!
Two Nanos and two tanks of gas would cover it, It,s allot i know but i only buy the Highest possible examples i can find, if i can find them, sometimes it takes more Then money a little luck always helps!
I think the hobby of Mpc is growing by leaps and bounds though i,am not sure there is anybody as Hardcore as me...LOL i do think there are many out there that collect not only for a hobby but As an investment as well!! I use to collect all kinds of paper money but when you have a limited budget and there are notes Out there like this you have to put all your eggs in one basket and that,s what i do Mpc only! Nothing else spreading your self all over gives you a variety but seldom can you get the highest Grades unless your Robert Gates LOL As far as the paper money show it,s a real shame that Mpc,s were not represented properly In my opinion the art work and history of these notes is second to none! If there,s another Show out there i would be more then happy to display my one of a kind collection
Very nice. I am guessing $2800.00 for the pretty $20.00 lady. Am I close? Congratulations. BTW, what is the current population breakdown for this series and donomination?
I commend you for your focus to allow you to accomplish this feat. It's really exciting to see members of this forum achieve their dreams.
