Post the most you have ever spent on a coin here !

Mine is a silver proof of a William & Mary 1694 farthing, $260 in F+ (raw, as are all the coins I collect)

Jerome, can you please post some photos of that coin? It is one of the very last English Farthings, but the only copper issue, along with the 1/2d. of 1694,is a very historic coinage. The first British Farthing was the famous 1714 Queen Anne Farthing. It was in 1707 that the 2 ancient Kingdoms of England & Scotland finally united peacefully to form the United Kingdom of Great Britain.Any 1707 coins with the Coats-of-Arms of England & Scotland on separate shields are English. Those with the Coats-of-Arms on the same shield are British coins.

The most I spent was $20 on my PR69 1961 quarter. I want to save a bit of money up to spend at my local dealer, maybe a hundred or so. It'll be awhile, I get about $5 a week. So by about summer I'll have enough saved. I don't think I'll spend it on one coin, probably get a bunch of junk silver and a few ASEs. Maybe a few Morgans. Will wait and see!
