Since I'm having a tough time finding a nice coin in my price range, I'm considering buying a replica to tide me over for a while.

Where can I find a cameo proof that looks like the real thing (I don't care if it says "copy" on it)?

I've looked at "The Great American Coin Company" ($9.95 + shipping) and "The Maryland Mint" ($24.99), but the pictures don't look right to me.

If you wanted a "realistic" Trade dollar, you should have just kept the one you (hopefully) returned.

Lol. Hopefully I can find a decent fake cheaper than $100 ;-)

Buying a copy won't diminish your desire for an original - not by an iota. Just sayin'.

Spending $25 for a copy or counterfeit doesn't make much sense to me since a nice Trade dollar isn't a rare coin.
