    Hey!

Morgans are a very recent addition to my collection (just got my first two today) and I have no clue how much it's worth. My step-grandma gave them to me since she knew I collected coins. I truthfully have no knowledge of the value of these. Sorry, I have no pictures.

The first is from 1904 and looks (from looking at the guide from Littleton) to be in "fine" to very fine condition.

The second is from 1921 with a "D" mint mark and looks, to me, to be about uncirculated or better. It is very shiny and my grandma said she never cleaned it after her mother gave it to her in 1935.

What's the value of things that are passed down from generation to generation by those that love you? I'm afraid only you can answer that.

Now, if you were to try to buy the exact coins you have described (1904 P F-12 and 1921 D AU-50), it would cost you somewhere between $20 and $30.

You made me feel guilty with the first sentence there! I'm not looking to sell, just getting an estimated value. They are worth more than I thought, if the prices you described are per piece.

Thanks for the prices, though! She told me to get an estimate and will be glad to know you got back to me so soon with one. Thanks!

(BTW, I have now put them in air tight containers)

Well you've got nothing to feel guilty about. Sentimental value is big part of this hobby. It can't be ignored.

The price estimate (and I stress "estimate") is a retail figure for both coins. Say, $10-$15 a piece.
