Someone at work gave me (to examine) a bunch of silver dollars and I didn't see anythign fantastic, but them again this isn't my area, so is there anything amazing below? Conditions of a few of them are quite nice BU or close (I know, that's not a grade, but to list every one of them would be more time than I'm willing to do at the moment), but most seem to be cleaned (shiny) a long time ago.

If there's one or two I should look at more closely, let me know. Otherwise I'll tell her that they're worth $12-$25ea.

That will lower the value of the cleaned ones.

Yeah, I say cleaned but mostly they're circulated and maybe years and years and years ago, someone rubbed them with their fingers or a cloth. They are all circulated, though many seem to be in the AU58 range, a couple over that, some under that.

I realize value can't be determined without at least pictures, but I guess I'm looking more at the dates to see if there's anything wonderful. I paid under $50 for an 1887 MS64 (ANACS) and I'm just not sure it's really worth going over too much.

Here's a picture of (IMHO) the best one (1882). This one isn't cleaned. Some are this sharp, but unnaturally shiny (which might be attributed to them just being in ciculation than actually being cleaned). My guess is this is a $20 coin, +/-$5-ish., but even if it's $35, it's just not something I would get excited about.

    Lots of folks (MEMEMEMEMEME)
are collecting morgans regardless of grades.....I have a ton of dates I would love to have....MM's too, I was lucky enough to catch 2 CC morgans and 2 IHCs for under 195

I'd love to give up my date list and fill holes for near melt lol

Ahhh, you missed a post by Speedy recently where he had some that he was getting rid of. I bought one from him, just so I could put it in a "dollar bag" to show the kids various dollars over the years. Maybe you saw it?

As for these, they aren't mine and she seemed to indicate that these were actually half of a set -so to speak (with the other half given to her brother). She wasn't sure if he still had his though, and she knows these aren't very expensive. I think she might want to give up some, but not sure how many of which ones, etc. If she decides to, I'll post an ad in the Open forum letting people know.

I wish I had a thing set up to take pictures of them (thinking back to the days I was a photographer... all the right equipment and lights, etc.) but I don't. That is just handheld in the middle of my office with the other hand trying to keep the DSLR in range for the macro manually focused shot, heh. Not exactly optimal (would be a pain to do with all the coins listed above).
