For some reason the peace dollars are more appealing to me than Morgan dollars. However I ran into this one at my local pawnshop and decided to buy it. They charged me 25$. I don't know much about grading Morgan's but the biggest reason I purchased the dollar is because of the tone. The latter of the pics are with my camera flash on. Unfortunately I do not have any photos that I took in actual sunlight. The sun peeked out for less than a minute when I purchased the coin and toning almost makes it look like the coin glitters. Did I pay too much? What kind of grade would you give this coin? Thanks guys!!
It may be your flash, but that last 2 pics make me think it could have been cleaned at some point but am not really sure. Well, you paid about 2x melt for it but that seems pretty close to the going rate for common date Morgan's. If you really like the gold toning though then it is a win for you.
