greetings all! first, my apologies to our moderator satootoko..(i was reading thru past topics and discovered your "love" of toned coins!!!). i have a morgan from 1903 which is toned on the back(completely ) and front peripheral (slightly). it is mostly steel gray w/ traces of a dark blue in it as well as russet. it has great luster , with the obverse being white other than the peripheral toning.and i found it to be very attractive (ah , once again, a subjective viewpoint). my question is...would this toning be from storage in an old whitman type folder ? soon i will have a camera so i can share my coins with you all. i know its easier with a visual !! thank you all for your help....steve

Your theory sounds possible srkjkd. But like you said, it would be better if you can post pictures.
