I have a 1889 Morgan silver dollar it has a long scratch or deep line in it could this have been from when they made it.?? also where is the mint letters on morgans and peace dollars.?? thanks have a 1921 Morgan really nice condition is it worth anything?? thanks sasha oh yes and can anyone tell me what the V cents is??? thanks
sasha - Sorry - but that looks like an oridnary scratch to me - it happened after the coin was struck. The mint marks, if any, on Morgans and Peace dollars are on the reverse. On Morgans it is under the tail feathers near the bottom. On Peace dollars it is found at about 8 o'clock near the edge. As for your '21 Morgan - it would have to be pretty high grade to be worth more than $40 or $50. Post a pic and we'll take a look.
