I would appreciate your input on whether or not I should rescue these Morgans from their 45 year old chains or leave them? If rescue, use a jeweler? I’m a newbie, did I add pics correctly?

Welcome to Coin Talk. Pic are excellent. The 1921 Morgan dollar is very common and worth a premium if graded MS 64 and higher. Your coin was probably polished which would make it worth melt value which is around $12.00. If you were looking to sell it, you would probably be better off leaving it as is and auctioning it off on ebay or another site. that's just my opinion. Wait for other members to chime in.

I agree, if the bezel doesn't have a compression screw to undo it, and is silver soldered instead, there is a good chance of damaging both the bezel and the coin. Worth more as it IMO , Jim

Those are nice. Collector value of the coins probably has been cut to melt value so let them be.

Leave it as-is. Mounted like that, it's got some novelty value as a jewelry item. Remove the coin, and then all you have is a piece of scrap silver. It's too late to "rescue" that coin numismatically, but it can still be enjoyed as a curio (and keychain).
