http://whiteselectronics.com/index.php?option=com_formgeneral&controller=metalprices Does anyone know why this site has these two silver dollar types listed with different melt values ? According to my Red Book they have identical stats .... thanks.
You're right, they both contain exactly the same amount of silver. But few if any buyers will pay the same for a melt Peace that they will for a melt Morgan. They just don't because the Peace dollars are harder to sell.
Maybe the best place to get the answer to your question is their "contact us" page. http://whiteselectronics.com/info/contacts.html
I understand that the market value may be different. But for the sake of showing their silver value (which they are clearly doing here) they should have identical melt values on the chart. Oh well ... another great mystery. I doubt that I would get a response to a question like that from Whites anyways.
