Wow, that sure is a nice one! It's DMPL, correct? I'm not familiar with that TPG enough to give it what they grade it, but I will say MS-66 myself? :D

It is impossible to determine PL or DMPL from a photo but I will guess that it is PL. As for the grade, I think they gave it an MS65. In my experience, ICG does not grossly overgrade Morgans. ICG MS65 PL is my guess.

I think it's a pretty solid 65. The luster might push it to 66.

    Maybe a MS65 PL?

Either you all are very generous or maybe I should break this one out. They graded it a MS-63 DMPL. Thanks for the look guys.

With larger photos, I think we might agree with that grade.

Based on the pictures, that's a pretty harsh grade IMO. I have 63's that are no where near this nice.

I can believe the 63 grade. The DMPL surfaces makes every hit stand out more.

Too bad I came in late on this. I was also thinking MS63Dmpl.

This is a regrade candidate - The details are extremely good for the year
The only distraction I see is probably field issues yet they still gave it a DMPL ... The grade is not consistant with the attribution in my view.
Crack it and resubmit to NGC/PCGS I think you will be surprised.
It will probably end up a point technically and may depending on the field haze keep the DMPL. This one is worth the shot.

    Nice Coin

If it gets a grade of MS64 DMPL, the value will go up $150-$200. If it comes back PL, you won't make any money. Before I crack that coin, I would make sure it meets the TPG requirement for DMPL that you plan on sending it to. Also make sure the surfaces are definitely 64 as you can expect NGC & PCGS conservative grading caused by the CAC to continue.

I guessed that ICG would grade the coin MS65 PL which means I really think it will grade MS64 PL, but I am not looking at the coin, just a small photo of it. Therefore my opinion is much more of a guess and if ICG graded this puppy an MS63 DMPL, there is probably a reason why, we just are not or can not see it.

The way I see it is some nics in front of liberty and besides the marks on liberty cheek, looks to have more marks in that area that are subdued by the pics. This is the only reason I guessed 63. As stated also, the pics make it look Dmpl but in-hand would be a true reference of this. Pics could be enhancing the fields to look like a deeper mirror finish. JMO

I'd guess 64 PL, but 65 wouldn't surprise me either.

And I would say they were accurate.
