Morgan Dollars

Hey guys & gals. What is the best way to tell is a morgan dollar(any coin) has been cleaned in the past? ANy insight would help. Thanks

Tiny scratches on the images.

 

Here is a good example of an improperly cleaned coin
The coin will appear shiny, but not have any cartwheel luster.
If you look closely at the coin there will be a lot of fine scratches (like the coin was scrubbed with steelwool)
