Morgan dollar.

    I'm trying to learn how to take pictures of my coins so hopefully these will work.

    What would you guys consider the grade to be on this coin?

    Also do you think the toning is is real or artificial. And would it effect the value at all?

    More light, I'd guess, is needed.

    looks cleaned from those pics try taking pictures in better lighting

    I agree better pics will help. From the first pic, it looks like the coin was cleaned, and then naturally re-toned. 1885 is a common date, and I would say it's AU, so either way the value isn't effected that much; it's mainly worth it's silver value.

    I would suggest using a tripod, no flash, macro setting, and white background with plenty of ambient room lighting set up.....not directly on the coin. Then adjust if necessary with a quick edit in one of the photo fix it programs. Good luck!

    I played around with the camera some and got some better shots.

    The last one i took out side to get a better picture of the color. Somehow the picture itself came out pretty good to. Well that is except for not getting the bottom of it.
