I am a beginner. Can someone tell me how to read a morgan dollar to tell if it is a first reverse, second reverse or third reverse. The book tells me parallel or slanted top arrow. I cannot figure out what they mean. tks

Well take a close look at the feathers on the very top arrow. On one variety they are straight and level - on another they run at an angle.
