This is a close up of a 1921P Morgan reverse. Both S's in states are the same. Doe's anyone know anything about it. The other PIC is self explanatory. Both from the same coin. I got 5 from the same original roll . ALL 5 COINS ARE THE SAME. http://s93.photobucket.com/albums/l...rrent=morgansdd.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch3 http://s93.photobucket.com/albums/l...current=Morgan1.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch1
I've seen that 'S' on several 1921 Morgans. It must have been a characteristic of the die. However, I think many of the wide reed (infrequently reeded) Morgans have this feature. Be sure to check if they are wide-reeded. You can line them up on the edge and compare to other Morgans.
It must be a variety though? Yes? I mean to have so many exactly the same im a random roll. I also went though my inter collection of morgans just about looked at hundreds and hundreds in ms state and didnt find anything like these.
