What do you think is the value on this morgan 1892 silver coin?
(the dark spots is dirt, not damages)
I don't know anything about coin values.
I have done some research and I think it's worth about 20-60USD...?? I have no idea really, please leave a comment and tell me what you think :)

And a bit background story just for fun.
I got it from one of my mum's Norwegians aunts when I was 11 years old (1999).

F-12 details, rim damage and probably cleaned at some point causing the black spots. No idea what it might be worth, but I think between 20 and 40.

The S above the D and O in dollar means it was minted at the San Fransisco mint. They usually get a get price then most other Morgan dollars minted. I know the crude or dirt on it is unattractive, but what ever you do, don't clean it. There are a lot of rim dings on the coin. This really detracts from the value, as it means someone didn't really take care of the coin and likely dropped it, several times. I'd grade it as VG-8. You might get a little less than $20 for it, maybe $18, based on it being from the old San Fransisco mint, but don't count on it. Otherwise, it is worth the silver it contains, which at present who be $13.

Okay, thank you for sharing :)
(and I'm glad you said it's not a good idea to clean it since I was about to do it)
