Ok, I would appreciate some thoughts on 1 more Lincoln Cent in my collection. I got this 1914-D probably about 10+ years ago, when I knew a lot less.

What are your thoughts on grade? Also, it's certain an interesting color with a decent bit of green on it, but it sort of concerns me for some reason. Idk if that matters much at all. Thoughts on that? I think it grades at least a VF, but just want to know about the coloring and green patina and if there is anything that can be done to help, not clean it of course!

    Thanks! 1914-D 1.png 1914-D 2.jpeg

If it's genuine, it appears environmentally damaged.
Green is not a patina you want on copper (verdigris), and the red discoloration
is usually from the coin being in the ground. The pitting on the reverse also suggests this. The breaks in the color patterns on both sides indicates someone (before you)
tried to clean it, probably because it was a metal detecting find and was very dirty.
If you were to try to conserve this coin (IDK if that's even possible) you are likely to expose more problems than are currently visible.
As a key date hole filler it still has value, but I don't think it can straight grade.

Looks genuine, agree it could have been a ground find. However, it has corroded and been cleaned, the reverse pits give it away. It was probably well cleaned as it's now the typical off-color brown of an old, cleaned coin. Appears as though the current verdigris is relatively new - hard to say if there's bare metal or brown under it. It's thick enough around the overse devices that I agree with Michael K....there's probably nothing pleasant under it.

    NONETHELESS, it's still a 1914D, looks to be VF-25/30 too....not bad. It's a good hole filler!

Oh come on - give me some help here. Just kidding but your image could use some focus with the camera perspective squarer to the coin. I can eliminate Cyan and Red. Leaning towards Orange. What do ya'll think?

Looks like Orange to me. I can always try for some better images this afternoon. All I got is my phone and will power haha.
