I received a couple new FH yesterday and today from ebay searches. The first is a Rome mint. A a little different than most FHis a few way, can you tell what? Here is another and a late issue from Rome to compare with The other coin is from Arles, with the PAR mint mark instead of PCON used later on.
The first is a very good one. We get this variation only in Rome but it comes with several mintmark options. Yes and we have discussed it here before but how many pay attention to FH posts?
We've both posted quite a lot of "whats special about this FH" lol, so many wont even look. I know some can say right away, some maybe not since theres 5 "special" examples from Rome. I must say, I have always liked the 2nd example you posted the most, the portrait in particular.

Constantinople had some interesting styles. My first coin of that mint was this FH4 with the rider's leg merging with the horse's in an odd way.
I just recieved one of these I really like. I just wish I had better photos than a quick phone photo! I think it's cool that the "A"s on the reverse (and obverse) look like deltas and the "R" in REPARATIO looks like a Pi. Also the horse's head to the left of the mint mark is nice although it doesn't show up in the photo well. Anyway, a beefy one at 6.5 grams. ...Ooh! Plus I always laugh at Gallus' sweet blow dry hairdo! In the early 350s there were a couple celators in Antioch and Alexandria that were really talented and well above their peers at other mints. Whenever I see a good FH coin from one of these mints at a good price, I'm always looking to pick it up! J Constantius Gallus, AE 23mm. Obv: DN CONSTANTI-VS NOB CAES, bare-headed, draped, cuirassed bust right Rev: FEL TEMP RE-PARATIO, soldier spearing fallen horseman who is bare-headed and bearded, reaching backwards. Gamma in left field. Mintmark: ALEB RIC VIII Alexandria 74
To illustrate my comment about Antioch and Alexandria's awesome FH coins... Here's a Gallus from Antioch. It's a little porous but that reverse is great! Constantius Gallus, AE3, Antioch, 23mm, 5.4g. DN CONSTANTI-VS NOB CAES, bare headed, draped and cuirassed bust right / FEL TEMP RE-PARATIO, soldier standing left, spearing fallen horseman who is bearded, hair in braids, reaching backwards. Gamma in left field. Mintmark ANS. RIC VIII Antioch 134. _antioch_RIC_VIII_134
