Are any of these worth anything other than face value? 1971 Eisenhower Dollar 1776-1976 Eisenhower Dollar Susan B. Anothy Dollars (7) Sacagawea Dollars (5) $2 Jefferson Bill 1943 and 1945 Liberty Half Dollar 1951 and 1952 Franklin Half Dollar 1776-1976 JFK Half Dollars (22) 1776-1976 Washington Quarters (12) 1944 Liberty Dime 1961 FDR Dime (All Silver) 1991 FDR Dime (Border Mint Error) Lincoln Wheat Pennies (7) 1971-199X JFK Half Dollars (120) * All of these coins are in good shape, but they have been used and circulated. What should I do with these? Sell them or hang on to them? If hang on to them, does it matter how I store them? Any other advice? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Ikes are worth maybe $1.25 each 1943 and 1945 Liberty Half Dollar...about $5 each 1951 and 1952 Franklin Half Dollar...same as above 1944 Liberty Dime..worth at least $1 1961 FDR Dime (All Silver)...about a $1 Lincoln Wheat Pennies (7) ....about 5c each. The rest, unless they are extremely high mint state are pocket change.
If you were to decide to get rid of them right now, you wouldn't get much more than face value for them. However, if you were to keep them for the next 50 years of your life and carefully mark them as somethig given to you by your mother, then I'm betting no one could afford the price you would place on them at that time. In fact, I'm betting you wouldn't sell them at any price. Just a hunch!
a coin dealer would probaly give you $100 for the whole lot. i would keep them though, it is a gift from your mom. also, silver is going up in price so hang on to the coins.
First: Welcome. Second: Why not take the time and go to the book store, or on line, and buy: "The Guide Book to United States Coins" by R.S. Yeoman and edited by Ken Bressett. You will learn a whole lot about your coins and then you can decide for yourself what you want to collect. Good Luck!
What are the condition of the Kennedies? Are they dinged up with scratches and dents or are they just worn?
