This coin has been in my collection for quite a while (sorry for the poor photo, also: size and weight are still missing): I've ID'd it as MOESIA INFERIOR, Marcianopolis, mint under Tiberius Julius Festus, legatus consularis, as per: http://www.akropoliscoins.com/page3d.html I'm not really sure though: the portrait is different, and though the mint-mark is missing partly, it looks different than the one in the picture below. Any input (and preferably a catalog ID) would be greatly appreciated!
I think you attributed your coin correctly: Varbanov 1801. In the exergue, there is no mintmark, but the continuation of the city name WN in your case and on the example TWN.
For future reference: I rephotographed the coin, weighted, measured and completed the ID: ROMAN PROVINCIAL, Severus Alexander Denomination: AE 25, minted: Moeisia inferior, Marcianopolis; 222-235 AD Obv: AVT K M AVP CEVH – AΛEZANΔPOC Laureate bust of Severus Alexander to right Rev: VΠ TIB IOYΛ ΦHCTOV – MAPKIANOΠOΛIT/ΩN Eagle, with spread wings, facing, head left; in beak, wreath. Are you still looking for a catalog number? You could also include Moushmov 714 as a reference. Very nice coin, by the way. Great condition.
